When will my order ship?

Please allow up to 2 weeks for your order to ship. At the moment it’s just us two, and our jobs can get pretty hectic/busy sometimes, so we truly appreciate your patience with us getting your order shipped.

We only ship our plants on Monday-Wednesday to prevent plants being caught up in the mail service over the weekend.

You should receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order ships.


Help, my plant is dead/torn to bits/has been vigorously shaken around more than a near empty ketchup bottle! What do I do?

Please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your plant by sending us an email at triage@emergencyplantdocs.com with photos/video of your damaged plant. This will allow us to determine whether the damage is due to something on our end or not. If we determine that we were at fault for the damage, we will either send you a replacement or give you store credit totaling the cost of your previous order.

If damage was due to mishandling by USPS or during transit, then a claim must be filed online with USPS within 24 hours. You, the buyer and recipient of the package, must be the one to file this claim. We, the seller/shipper, are unable to file this claim for you from our end. Each order includes up to $100 of shipping insurance for damage incurred during shipping and it is crucial to file this claim online within 24 hours otherwise refund for damages could be lost.


Help! My order has been lost to the feds (USPS)! What should I do?

If your order has not arrived after receiving confirmation of shipment and tracking information via email, don’t panic (I know, easier said than done)! You still have a few options available to you. First, contact your local post office (USPS) and let them know you never received your package. If they are not able to assist you, then you can file a claim with USPS online for your lost package. Your order has up to $100 of insurance included with it for lost/damaged packages.


So doc, tell me more about shipping deets?

We use USPS priority mail as our standard shipping offering. Packages shipped under this are estimated to arrive within 3-5 days. However, in our experience, most packages usually arrive within 3 days, 2 if you’re lucky, 4 if you’re unlucky. Note: this shipping category does not have “guaranteed” arrival dates and the 3-5 day shipping is an “estimated” shipping time.

We also offer an upgraded shipping option which is USPS Express Mail. This shipping option has guaranteed 2-day shipping.

Note: Due to COVID-19 and other issues surrounding shipping and supply chains, your order could be delayed more than usual. This has not been an issue over the past several months, but it is something to keep in mind as this continues to be an evolving pandemic. Also, same caution applies to orders/shipments around holiday seasons.

Lastly, we use USPS as our sole shipping service for several reasons. First, they have the cheapest shipping costs and therefore you get the cheapest shipping costs which is the most ideal situation. Also, contrary to popular belief, they are a pretty reliable shipping service. And lastly, they are a non-discriminatory service, meaning that they are required by law to deliver mail to anybody and everybody that has a permanent address, no matter what, and for those that don’t have access to a permanent address, they offer P.O. Boxes. We are all about equity up in this house!
